Especially its mutant type weeping acer truncatum, is a very beautiful foliage plants, in botanical garden application, also occupies the important position.Drooping branches growing phenomenon is a kind of common variants in plants, but less research on the growth morphology and internal growth rule, this article selects the shanxi agricultural university, cultivate the weeping of variant type of acer truncatum as test materials, through its compared with ordinary acer truncatum, from internal physiological indexes, growth performance, photosynthesis, types of indicators are significant differences between test and multiple comparison, analyzes the various indicators of differences between different types, the difference to whether have provide a basis for the production and the potential breeding significance; On this basis, through artificial induced weeping, explore the generation mechanism of acer truncatum weeping properties, for the further development of excellent germplasm resources, study the inherent law of plant growth laies a certain foundation. Research has obtained the main results as follows:Weeping acer truncatum and straight type branch acer truncatum in biological character and physical properties have some difference.Weeping acer truncatum water level fluctuation on both sides of the lignin content in plants is not equal, weeping branches acer truncatum lignin content were significantly higher than the upper side. Acer truncatum and lateral branches straight lignin content difference was not significant. Straight acer truncatum unit mass organization lignin content in the branches than in the vertical branch type, but the difference was not significant.In acer truncatum branches GA3content increased gradually from base to tip. Weeping acer truncatum tip end GA3content is higher than straight branches of acer truncatum, will result in the shoot apex faster than secondary xylem growth, make the branches to support its own weight and prolapse. Exogenous GA3treatment of acer truncatum, branches promoted the vertical acer truncatum central xylem cell division and differentiation, branches erect growth performance. In branch acer truncatum branches straight, although branch tip GA3content increase, but this has to do with nature sagging acer truncatum GA3distribution in different branches of gradient is different, so can’t lead to direct branch acer truncatum growth state changes.
