Climate change has become the hot issues in the international community, IPCCsimulation study found that long-term changes in climate and the increasing the frequencyof recent extreme weather events (such as drought, floods, frost and other natural disasters),expanding the impact of the scope has a close relationship. Agriculture reaction is verysensitive to climate change, especially the rice crops of weak disaster resistance, affectedby the disaster severly.Poyang lake area is located in the north of Jiangxi province, which is one of the maincommodity grain production base in China. Rice is the largest planting area and highestfood crops yield of Poyang lake area. Floods occurred of high frequency, high intensity inthe region, which has been a serious threat to the farmer. affecting the growth of crops, especially rice. Adaptation measures are effective measures against natural disasters, whichis the inevitable choice to the agricultural sector to improve the ability of disaster resilienceand the ability to withstand. Therefore, this article is based on the large-scale survey data of Poyang lake area in2012, making rice farmers in Poyang lake area as the research object, researching on ricefarmers using floods adaptive engineering measures for current situation and influencingfactors under the background of climate change. By summarize the relevant literature, funding by maximizing profits theory, social action theory, firstly, this study try tounderstand and analyze that when the government provide technical and material support, how does the rice farmers cope with floods when, then, describing statistical analysis ricefarmers’ limiting factor of adaptation measures, and using logit regression model toanalyze rice farmers’ determinants, finally, by the way of the analysis results to formulatepolicies for the government to provide the scientific basis for disaster t from themicro-perspective.The study show that most rice farmers will take adaptive measures to cope with floods, which is mainly to use agricultural machinery drainage and furrowing canal. Factors thataffect farmers using adaptive engineering measures include age, cultural level, awarenessof climate change, the degree of concurrent-business families, farmers own factors such asnumber of relatives, Also including the type of terrain, soil, rice and the status of thevillage economic level, water conservancy facilities, access to information and externalenvironment factors such as the support of government policy. In addition, the influencefactors of farmers’ different engineering measures are also different. Data showed thatconcurrent-business families are based on agriculture, when realizing the increased rainfall, single cropping of rice, income level is positive correlation with using of agricultural drainage significantly, when realizing more severe floods and the more perfect communitywater conservancy facilities is negative correlation with using of agricultural drainage; Thenumber of relatives, sloping terrain significantly promote the rice farmers to adopt openditch clear channel flood risk; Family sufficient labor and well-funded farmers familyadopt two kinds of flood engineering measures at the same time in a larger probability, onthe contrary, if the famers have better land soil, better community infrastructure, farmersadopt two kinds of flood engineering measures at the same time in a small probability.
