In recent years, our food security issues are threaten by the shortage ofarable land, because of the shortage of arable land of our own and the rapideconomic development in coastal areas. On the other hand, there are a largenumber of soil salinization and abandoned salt, which because of seawaterintrusion, could provide a lot of arable land through land restoration project. This project can effectively alleviate the pressure of our shortage of arableland and raise the level of agricultural development in China. However, abandoned salt, which belong to soil salinization, is quitedifferent from common salinization type, so there are so many difficulties ingovernance and post-maintenance, which need to be resolved. we canproceed to study soil salinization control, to effectively repair the abandonedsalt. In this paper, we firstly analysis the status of pollution of soilsalinization, and then compare the soil salinization of coastal with themainland. We generalized the various means of current salinizationgovernance. As a result, we have realized that relying on a single measure isunwise, through studying the means of governance, such as farmland waterconservancy and irrigation and drainage, hydraulic barrier control andbiochemical measures etc. Therefore, we conducted a detailed survey of theproject area, in the restoration repair, and chose farmland water conservancyin conjunction with biochemical measures, assisting land formation worksand road works.Afull range of governance should be taken.(1)We selected the project area. Land formation was proceeded by us.the project area was divided into82, and calculated the engineering byscatter method to determine the amount of cut and fill volume.(2)Farmland water conservancy and irrigation and drainage. Thedesign of irrigation works contained irrigation quota which is74mm, and12d irrigation cycle. Then selecting the appropriate pumps, waterconservancy facilities to ensure proper specifications. The paddy drainagemodulus is1.048[(m3/s)/km2] in the drainage works. The design of thedrainage ditches base on data calculated, and gutters excavation work carriedout. Road works contained production road and field road, to convenientconstruction of the project area. In the face of irrigation and drainage pumps short board, this paperhave created innovative equipment design and made improvements of thewater pump to solve engineering problems in the engineering process. Theimprovements focused on convenient to move and clean the inlet, as well assolve the difficulties of adding water. We have designed a mobile pumpingstations and pumping stations supporting the mobile room to improve thewater pump.(3)After the physical measures, we have taken biochemical methodsto conduct further governance. Efficient bio-fertilizer, which composed ofMumeituli Jinshui enzymes, Mumeituli black and white liquid andMumeituli microbial compound fertilizer, have been applied to the projectarea. It can improve soil aggregate structure, forming humus whichenhanced the soil water retention and ventilation. Meanwhile, discharging ofthe growth of microorganisms, which was acidic, have neutralized thealkaline soil. Our selection of new salt plant is wheat named Jimai22. It willimprove the soil environment, and achieve economic value.(4)After construction, in the project area, salt resistant plants areflourishing and grain yield was high, so we could know that soil salinizationhas been effectively controlled. However, in latter stage, water conservationmeasures are not very perfect, which easily cause seawater intrusion and soilsalinization again, in coastal areas. In order to improve the latter part of theproject, and prevent seawater intrusion and salinization of soil, weconducted further studies on selectively permeable barrier.Using selective absorbent super absorbent resin, which have beenadded into the selectively permeable barrier material which is aggregated bygravel. So that the barrier could be better through the brine, but fresh waterdifficult through it which can collect rainwater and elute salt of soil. At thesame time they can accumulate fresh water to raise the undergroundfreshwater level, which can prevent seawater intrusion effect. According tothe Darcy’s law, we have designed the penetration testing device to test thesamples’ permeability and determine the selective permeability. Test resultsshow that the selective permeability of the barrier can be achieved.
