| Grassland degradation is one of the most important environmental problems in the world.Uzumuqin Grassland is one of the best natural grasslands in Inner Mongolia.Due to the combination of natural causes and human disturbance factors,grassland degradation has led to the serious formation of sandy lands.In order to prevent the further expansion of the sandification area of the Uzumuqin sand and at the same time promote natural restoration,engineering measures need to be implemented to prevent it.Therefore,in this study,three kinds of mechanical sand barriers(PLA sand barriers,yarn mesh sand barriers,and reed sand barriers)laid in the Uzumuqin Sandy Land in the southeastern edge of the Xilin Gol League were used as the research objects,and the bare sand dunes were used as the control(CK),and the vegetation restoration status,mechanical composition and nutrient status of different types of sand barriers were analyzed,so as to reveal the effects of sand barrier types on vegetation restoration and soil improvement,and the main research conclusions were as follows:(1)Mechanical sand barrier laying is conducive to the increase of soil clay particles and powder particles.Compared with the bare sand,the content of sticky particles and powder particles in PLA sand barrier increased by 13.97% and 25.75%,respectively,in the mesh sand barrier,the content of sticky particles and powder particles increased by 4.46%and 10.69%,respectively,and in the reed sand barrier,the content of sticky particles and powder particles increased by 17.09% and 44.38%,respectively.The three kinds of mechanical sand barriers have an impact on soil particle composition> reed sand barriers>PLA sand barriers> yarn mesh sand barriers.(2)The mechanical sand barrier laying is conducive to the increase of soil nutrient content.Compared with bare sand,the soil nutrients(organic matter,alkaline nitrogen,available phosphorus and available potassium)of PLA sand barriers increased by 12.21%,5.53%,13.60% and 22.88% respectively,and the soil nutrients of the sand barriers were increased by 18.06%,2.60%,18.23% and 22.44%,respectively;the soil nutrients of reed sand barriers were increased by 34.58%,5.54%,21.60% and 42.00%,respectively.It is found that the reed sand barrier has the best effect on the improvement of soil nutrients.(3)Mechanical sand barrier laying has a certain improvement effect on the restoration of natural vegetation.After laying three kinds of mechanical sand barriers 2a,namely PLA sand barrier,yarn mesh sand barrier and reed sand barrier,the vegetation density in the sand barrier was 450 plants/m2,160.2/m2 and 81.3 plants/m2,respectively,the average vegetation height was 9.49 cm,15.93 cm and 26.26 cm,and the average vegetation coverage reached 25.60%,28.60% and 19.20%,respectively.Therefore,the reed sand barrier is more conducive to promoting the restoration of vegetation in the Uzumuqin sandy land.(4)After laying three kinds of mechanical sand barriers,the soil wind erosion losses are reduced,and the fine-grained components in dust and wind sand flow can be intercepted,among which the soil corrosiibility of PLA sand barriers is reduced by 64.97%compared with that before laying,the soil corrosiibility of yarn mesh sand barriers is reduced by 51.38% compared with that before laying,and the soil corrosiibility of reed sand barriers is reduced by 125.25% compared with that before laying.Therefore,the laying of reed sand barriers has the best effect on enhancing soil corrosion resistance. |
