| Genetic basis is one of the important factors affecting the growth and development of theanimal’s body, and the expression of IGF-â… gene in animal body tissues will directly affect thegrowth rate, growth and metabolism of the animal.A single factor design was used in thisresearch,6kinds of hybrid geese which were obtained by pure Carlos goose (C), hybrid Carlosgoose (A), Seed goose (Z),Wanxi white Goose (W) as parents were used as the experimentalmaterials. The hybrid combinations were: group AA, group CA, group AW, group WA, groupCZ, group ZA.60(male and female half) hybrid geese which with a similar weight and healthysituation and incubation of the same batch were randomly selected in every group, there are20geese in each group with three repeats, a total of360experimental geese were used, the trialperiod was90days. This research was conducted to comparison of the growth indicators and theslaughter performance of6kinds of hybrid geese, Meanwhile, the expression of IGF-â… gene inthe breast muscle, leg muscle and blood of6kinds of hybrid geese was detected by real-timePCR technology, in order to research the effect of IGF-â… gene on goose growth anddevelopment properties at the molecular biology level. The results of the test as follows:(1)The effects of different genetic basis on the indexes of growth performance anddevelopment of gooseThe growth trend of the hybrid geese with different genetic basis was basically the same, the growing season were between2-7weeks of age, the mean weight of group CA wassignificantly higher than other experimental groups between2-9weeks (P <0.05), it has shownsome advantages in growth and development. The daily gain of the hybrid geese with differentgenetic basis had difference in vary degrees, the growing season of group CA, group AW, groupWA, group AA, group CZ, group ZA was:5weeks of age,4weeks of age,4weeks of age,5weeks of age,5weeks of age,5weeks of age. This result showed that there were somedifferences in the growth and development between every experimental groups as the differentgenetic basis of the goose.(2) The effects of different genetic basis on the slaughter performance of gooseThe slaughter rates of the hybrid geese with different genetic basis were all above80%, theeviscerated rates were all above60%, it indicated that the laughter performance of geese ofexperimental groups was better. And the heterosis of group CA, group AW, group WA wasshowed, especially the group CA, on the other hand, the laughter performance of group ZA was showed some disadvantages.(3)The expression of IGF-â… gene mRNA in different tissues of the hybrid geese withdifferent genetic basisThe IGF-â… gene mRNA was expressed in chest, leg, blood samples of the hybrid geesewith different genetic basis. However, the expression level showed some species specificity: therelative expression quantity of IGF-â… gene mRNA in breast muscle,CA was significantlyhigher than the other experimental groups except group WA (P <0.05).In leg muscle tissue ofgroup, the relative expression quantity of IGF-â… gene mRNACA was significantly higher thanthe other experimental groups (P <0.05).In blood samples, the relative expression quantity ofIGF-â… g ene mRNA between groupCA and group AW was not significant (P>0.05), butsignificantly higher than other experimental groups (P <0.05).(4)The relationship of the level of IGF-â… gene mRNA expression and the growthperformanceThe results showed that: the correlation coefficient between the relative expression quantityof IGF-â… gene mRNA in breast muscle and the weight of breast muscle and BMY was0.80,0.61.The correlation coefficient between the relative expression quantity of IGF-â… genemRNA in leg muscle and the weight of leg muscle and the leg muscle rate was0.71,0.67.Thefindings suggested that he level of IGF-â… gene mRNA expression was positively correlated withthe growth performance. |
