Infrared radiation detection of Near Space Vehicle (stratospheric airship) is a very effective monitoring methods which can achieve BVR, all-weather and real-time identification and targets tracking.In this paper, the simulation system of the temperature field and infrared radiation characteristics of stratospheric airships is established, with which temperature and infrared radiation distribution of airships of different shapes under different environmental conditions can be simulated. Firstly, The environment around the airship is modeled; Secondly, the radiation heat transfer coefficient were solved by Monte-Carlo. The temperature model, by which the temperature of airships were computed, was developed, by considering the influences of self-irradiation of airship’s surface, heat flux of direct solar radiation, the Earth reflect solar radiation, the Earth and atmospheric infrared radiation, atmospheric scattering radiation, convective and load factor, The infrared characteristics model was developed by taking into account of self-irradiation of airship’s surface, heat flux of space orbit. Then the results contrast with the FLUENT software simulation results validate the model of reliability. The main factors that affect infrared characteristics of airship’s was analyzed. The results show that the intensity of the infrared radiation of the object in the sunlit is higher than that in the shadow. The airship temperature and infrared radiation is significantly different at different time and parts,The airship’s infrared radiation characteristics on 3-5um and 8-12um are significant differences, Temperature and infrared radiation characteristics of the airship is different influence factors of the different parts. Such as solar panels area, the absorption rate of solar panels, solar panels efficiency and solar panels emission rate are the main factor, rather than the solar panels area, the body of the sun absorption and rate emitted are the main factors. In addition, in order to facilitate user operations, a visual interface is designed based on Windows Visual Studio2012 software development platform, and the integrated software of the infrared radiation characteristics of the airship is developed.
