Food and fodder should go ahead of troops and horses. Rolling kitchen has become the most important logistical guarantee on the battlefield in the modern warfare. With the continuous improvement of science and technology, such advanced technologies as new energy, new material and electronic technique are widely applied in the rolling kitchen field, which reduces the labor intensity of cooking work and improves the logistics efficiency, exerting a significant military meaning. Therefore, the prospect of applying such hi-tech electronic techniques as ARM single chip microcomputer (SCM) control technique and low-voltage power line communication technique into the rolling kitchen field is quite broad.Research object of the paper is YHWJ5110XCS cross-country type self-propelled rolling kitchen. Regarding defects like scattered monitoring, numerous wiring harnesses and high maintenance cost of operation monitoring system concerning such rolling kitchens when marching forward, the paper designed an ARM SCM control technique and low-voltage power line communication technique based rolling kitchen intelligent monitoring system, which has the features of convenient improvement, low maintenance cost, informatization and intelligentization.First, the paper introduced the research and development status of rolling kitchen and power line communication technique, analyzed and summarized features of channel characteristics, modulation technique and carrier wave module of low-voltage power line communication technique, and then determined the research contents and system design scheme.Design and realization of the entire rolling kitchen intelligent monitoring system mainly included system hardware circuit design and software design. Hardware system design mainly contained the design on supply circuit, master controller, LCD touch- screen display, carrier concentrator, carrier terminal, GPS orientation module, GSM voice communication module, relay and sensor; the software system design mainly included human-computer interaction interface design, communication protocol design, master control system software design, sub-control system software design, etc.. This system may realize such functions as switch control, timing control, work condition monitoring, vehicle temperature and humidity monitoring, water tank temperature monitoring, supply voltage and current monitoring and gas concentration monitoring on cooking equipment, and integrates the real-time positioning function on rolling kitchen and the function of conducting voice and data communication between rolling kitchen and the remote command center.Finally, performance analysis and test were conducted for the designed intelligent monitoring system, besides, relevant summary and prospect were made for the research work of the paper.
