Transmission line is an important part of the power system. It may seriously affect the system's safety and the stable operation of the transmission line. The effective monitoring of the state is of great significant.At present, some transmission line condition monitoring devices had been put into use at home and abroad. However, most of them are with only a few functions, and these small numbers of states can not reflect the overall status of the transmission line and some state may have links with each other. This article designed an integrated on-line data collection terminal, and selects the insulator leakage current, distributed voltage, field climate conditions, lightning current and so on as the monitoring and analyze objects. Also, a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between each state had been conducted. A comprehensive assessment and early warning was carried out according the status of the transmission line. The terminal not only overcome the shortcomings of can not be timely to reflect transmission line status, and the low efficiency of the regular maintenance, but also overcome the shortcomings that's common with some existing monitoring devices, such as the lack of a comprehensive analysis and factions.The terminal designed in this article used a high-performance 32-bit ARM7 processor and two C8051F single chip microcontrollers. Based on the analysis of the system's functional requirements, the ARM7 microprocessor and C8051F microcontrollers were singed with different tasks such as signal processing, communication and so on. This System used Motorola's G24 industrial wireless module to realize the transmission of field data through the GSM / GPRS network.The terminals have been installed on many transmission line towers in Weihai and Yantai in Shandong province. The On-site operation turn out that the system can operated properly and stable, and the field data can be transmitted correctly back to the analyze terminal in office long distances away.
