A Research About The Reconstruction Of Urban Leisure Space In Quanzhou-the View Of "Space Justice"

Quanzhou, known as “capital of private enterprises”, is the Chinese historical and cultural city. With the establishment of market economic system, its urban spatial organization quickly shifted to market-oriented mode dominated by market mechanism. This makes the issue of fairness and justice prominent for Quanzhou in the transforming process of Chinese urban spatial organization. Based on the idea of “Space Justice”, this thesis adopts relevant theories of geography, sociology and leisure study to carry out an in-depth analysis on the construction course of Quanzhou’s urban leisure space and existing problems. The aim is to discuss the implementation path of social justice in urban leisure space, and to help the reconstruction of Quanzhou’s urban leisure space move towards justice.The paper can be divided into three parts. The first is the theoretical part,discussing mainly on connotation of urban leisure space, the category of“Space Justice” in urban leisure space and other core theoretical issues based on arranging and reviewing previous research results. The second part combs the historical development of the construction, distribution, morphological characteristics, functions and other aspects of Quanzhou’s urban leisure space from the longitudinal dimension of time. The third part conducts a profound and penetrative analysis on the development status quo and existing problems of Quanzhou’s urban leisure space from the horizontal dimension of space.The paper concludes that the discussion of “Space Justice” in urban leisure space should include categories of time, physical space, social space and culture. The urban leisure space in ancient Quanzhou, as an important tool to strengthen the rule of class, has obvious characteristic of social class.Currently, the function of urban recreational space of Quanzhou has had significant changes and spatial separation phenomenon. The reconstruction of urban leisure space in Quanzhou should carry out from reconstruction of physical space, optimization of space construction mode and urban culturalinheritance, on the basis of spatial reconstruction concept of fairness and justice with humanism.
