Nowadays, science and technology are the primary productive forces. The Strategy of Invigorating China Through Science and Education is a major strategic policy of China. Enhancing the scientific literacy of citizens is an important way to implement the Strategy of Invigorating China Through Science and Education. And scientific education is significant in the cultivation of the scientific literacy of citizens. As the main position for science education, science and technology museums are playing an increasingly important role. A good design in a science and technology museum can not only lead to popularize scientific knowledge, but also advocate scientific spirits, scientific ideas and scientific methods. In recent years, with the rapid development of science and technology museums and rich of research theory, the research on the design of exhibition in science and technology museums at home and abroad has made great process. However, although a lot of scholars have made preliminary research on this aspect in China, how to develop the potential for the design of exhibition in science and technology museums is still a big issue. In fact, there are few thesises focusing on constructivism to guide science education activities and design of exhibition in science and technology museums in China. The thesis is to make a deep analysis of the modes of exhibition in science and technology museums from constructivism and use an example to demonstrate the points of the thesis. Therefore, the thesis aims to provide certain instructive learning in exhibition designing practice for those booming science and technology museums in China in both theory and practice.The whole thesis is divided into five parts. The first part reviews the background, status and significance of research on this issue. The second part analyzes the three main theory schools of constructivism and their scientific education concept in order to give some inspiration towards exhibition modes designing in science and technology museums on the basis of the analysis of the modes of exhibition in science and technology museums around the world. The third part proposes four general modes of exhibition based on teaching strategy of constructivism. The fourth part puts forward the design process of the modes of exhibition in science and technology museums. And the last part analyzes the modes of exhibition in Wuhan Science and Technology Museum so that it provides useful experiences and lessons in the design of the modes of exhibition in science and technology museums.
