Charles Handy is a famous guru of management in Britain. His management theory includes social events, ethics and so on, having a wealth of management ethics idea. Management ethics thought of Charles Handy has important enlightenment function, when studying and exploring its modern value.Management ethics thought of Charles Handy is based on the human nature assumption of "human nature is constant", which claims that human nature is complicated, with good and evil in human nature, but human goodness is dominant. And human’pursuit of goodness will never change, so management means to motivate the human good nature.Management ethics principles of Charles Handy have three principles, the first one is humanitarian principle, which emphasis on "that Caring people is better than caring the organization", affirms human value and dignity, and attach to the role of religious ethics in management; The second one is the power and responsibility unifying principle, which reflected in the "whether charity organizations also need profit", "whether the profit is the sole purpose of an enterprise" and "small units is also want to undertake the social responsibility"; The finally one is the principle of "proper selfishness",which highlight that the individual "I" must rely on the group of "we", and realizing the real "I" and "know yourself "is very important.Management ethics mainly has two norms:one is to strike a fair and justice, emphasizes that the fairness and justice is the coagulant of a society;the other one is to keep balance and harmony, stress that in the process of management, should keep the balance and harmony between the people and the nature,the individuality and the organization,as well as the self body and the mind. The common management ethics spirit is humanity spirit, honest and trustworthy and innovation spirit.Management ethics thought of Charles Handy has four characteristics:the first one is transcendence; The second is from practice, to practice; The third is to advocate the golden mean; The fourth is based on human, paying attention to the people of "righteousness". For the revelation of modern organization management, it is contribute to the establishment of organization and management ethical principles, is to help organizations achieve effective talent management, and is to help moral constraints effectively, improve the social management style.But the limitation is short of systematic and integrity.
