| The construction of urbanization as an important topic in the development of China, is an important basis for Chinese economic transformation. As a matter of fact, it not merely depends on the way of reforming to get rid of urbanization system obstacles,at the same time, also relies on adjustment and optimization in supply side and demand side which does good to improve its development level of urbanization. Especially when economic development in its new normal and reform in supply side having gradually become one of the key areas of reform, t is necessary to grasp this opportunity of reforming in supply side to provide scientific and reasonable suggestions for a sustainable urbanization development through reexamining construction of urbanization from the perspective of optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.Based on this, this paper studies the influence mechanisms that industrial structure of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River area, including Guizhou, Yunnan, Chongqing City and Sichuan province, has on construction of urbanization.First of all, based on reviewing relevant literatures and theories, from three perspectives of rationalization and upgrading of industrial structure and specific three industries, this study analyzes and distinguishes its different mechanisms that industrial structure has on urbanization, the results are as follows: rationalization of industrial structure focuses on the coordination degree between industry which essentially implies the flow of factors of production resources in industries in a purpose of achieving effective allocation of factors of production resources, and strengthens the influence path of Industry Association; the advancement of industrial structure, an external performance of industrial upgrading, is essentially the result of the innovation and progress of technology, which promotes to an organic integration of agglomeration and diffusion effect, then at last to promote the urbanization by improving the external environment. From the specific industrial perspective, with the deepening of integrationbetween industries and the mutual influence between industries, this kind of associated industries effect are zoomed up. The integration between the first and second and third industry, the flexible production of the second industry, and the service production of third industry, all open up a new path for the influence of urbanization in rural areas in the process of upgrading of the three industries that accompanies the natural extension of the rural hinterland and infiltration.Then, conducts a detailed analysis of the current situation and problems in industrial structure and construction of urbanization of the four provinces(cities)in the upper reaches of the Yangtze river. Currently four provinces(cities) have crossed the "watershed" of low speed development and rapid development, entering a new stage of rapid development, according to urbanization development path, the four provinces not only have plenty of room for improvement, but also they will witness a respectively faster speed in urbanization in the future.However, urbanization levels of Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces are not only lower than the national level, but also do not have any advantages when compared with western provinces of China; regional heterogeneity of urbanization is significant, this is to say, those heterogeneities are not only existing between provinces,but also in cites in the same province;at the same time, lacking of effective support of industry is one of the important factors that influence the development level of the urbanization.In addition, labor and capital resources of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River four provinces(cities) are witnessing a transfer from the first industry to the second industry and third industry, which is in line with the general law of economic development and thought as an improvement in quality direction. But compared with the average level of China’s industrial structure, the proportion of the first industry is relatively high and the proportion of the third industry is relatively low, so there is a big room for further adjustment and optimization in industrial structure. And this development pattern that Sichuan and Chongqing region’s industry structure optimization are superior to Yunnan and Guizhou’s shown by statistics, has not been weakened, but entered a strengthened stage.From the perspective of the third industry’s internal development, therepresentative of traditional industries, such as the transportation and the wholesale industry, and the representative of emerging industries, such as the financial, real-estate industry, whose output value as a whole shows an increasing trend. However, there is higher fluctuation development in traditional industries than emerging industries, at the same time, the industry is mainly in labor-intensive industries, the third industry employment pull effect has not been fully played.Then, based on the provincial panel data from 1997 to 2014, empirically analyzes the effect that the change of industrial structure has on urbanization of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, its results are as follows:First of all, for the marginal effect in particular quantile and the overall average effect, it shows a negative correlation between the reasonable index of industrial structure in four provinces in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the urbanization rate, and a positive effect that the rationalization of industrial structure has on urbanization level, and its effects of Sichuan Chongqing region are better that that of Yunnan and Guizhou area.In addition, for the marginal effect in particular quantile and the overall average effect, there is positive effect that the second industry and third industry have on urbanization. However, there is also a difference in that effect, they are, the marginal pulling effect that the second industry and third industry have on urbanization of Guizhou province are similar, but its corresponding effect of the third industry is better than the effect of the second industry in Yunnan province, and the results is just in the opposite for Chongqing municipality.what’s more, it is positively correlated between urbanization and transportation, warehousing and postal industry of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. however, there is also a difference in marginal effects, they are, Chongqing and Yunnan respectively show stable level of 0.25 and 0.2 in different quantile, but its level is lower than 0.1 for Sichuan and lower than 0.05 for Guizhou province.It is also positively correlated between urbanization and financial industry in Guizhou, Yunnan and Sichuan three provinces, but they are negatively correlated in Chongqing. Affected by itself development character and its scale and efficiency of financial industry, itscoefficient is in a decreasing trend, and both its coefficient and marginal effect of Sichuan are relatively smaller than other three area when compared with other industries over the same period. The influence that real-estate industry has in Guizhou on urbanization is in a uncertainty situation, and from the perspective of significant level, its influence is also vague, however, the corresponding influence for other three area are in a opposite position.Finally, according to the findings and conclusions of this study, it gives some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the transmission mechanism, and the influence factors of the impact of urbanization, and the prespective of macro, meso and micro three aspects. |
