Along with our country economic restructuring and the stimulating effect of the government macroeconomic policies to boost domestic demand, consumer market appeared an unprecedented rapid development in our country. In July 22, 2009, the China Banking Regulatory Commission issued the “Management Measures for Pilot Consumer Finance Company”, which laid a legal foundation for the development of consumer financial companies. In 2010, four consumer finance professional companies were successively set up in our country, to carry out the consumer finance business. And in 2015, consumer finance was brought to the whole country. But, at present, our country has yet to build a mature consumer finance company development model, consumer finance companies still face many challenges.In this article, Sichuan Jincheng Consumer Finance Company was the research object, and it was mainly compared with foreign mature consumer financial companies from market positioning, market strategy and risk control, to understand the problem of its development, in order to improve by learning advanced management experience.This paper first introduces the development of China’s consumer market and consumer finance industry. On the basis of this, it clarified the current types of consumer finance products and services. The development experience of the financial consumption company in the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries, were introduced and analyzed respectively, and summarized the same successful experience of these consumer finance companies. After Sichuan Jincheng Consumer Finance Company was introduced, the author thought that Sichuan Jincheng Consumer Finance Company had a larger gap with foreign advanced companies in the market positioning, market strategy, risk control and professional team. According to these gaps, the author puts forward that Sichuan Jincheng Consumer Finance Company should through the accurate market positioning, speeding up product and service innovation, strict risk prevention and control, training a contingent of professional staff, etc to improve its developing ability.
