Most of the new generation of rural migrant workers who have been employed in the construction, manufacture, accommodation and catering, wholesale and retail, services and other industries, have made tremendous contribution for economic development and urbanization. In the18th National Congress of CPC, a requirement "to promote higher quality employment" was issued, which made us focus on the quality of labor rather than number and size. On the basic of high-quality employment, the new generation can get better social integration, thus more attention ought to be paid on employment quality of the new generation of rural migrant workers who were born in the1980s. This study is no longer limited to the registered permanent residence, for adapt with the population status and social mobility. The floating destination (the city) and occupational status (workers) were used to define the object of study including the new generation groups of " rural-urban " mobility and "town-city" mobility. Meanwhile the self-assessment result of the work quality was as one factor of the overall employment to study in this paper.With the method of the combination of qualitative and quantitative, this research carried out a survey of the employment quality of new generation of migrant workers within the scope of urban residents accommodation catering, wholesale and retail, service and other services in Kunming. Results were got here, low employment quality with little internal difference. Three main factors affect the employment quality,"job condition" is the key factor,"self-assessment" on employment quality also makes an important role in the measurement, but "job-worker matching" is not so important as the others. This paper listed improving-employment-quality and decent-work policies of main countries, then tables improving-employment-quality and decent-work policies according to local conditions, improving employability by enforcing vocational training, promoting the network employment by setting up and improving job information network, and strengthening the guidance and support to city migrant workers’employment. Finally, the study discussed the relationship between employment quality and social integration.
