Performance evaluation plays a vital role in the enterprise management. It has been well performed in the daily work of foreign banks. But the performance evaluations which have been used by most national commercial banks are still inadequate. Traditional performance evaluation system is simple and extensive, which drawbacks continue to appear. At the same time the assessment is not performed in accordance with the evaluation system. At present, some commercial banks do not have a standardized and systematic evaluation system, or evaluation indexes unreasonable. Along with the progress of economic globalization, the competition of financial sectors has become more and more fierce. and the performance evaluation system of national commercial banks have been shocked and challenged more and more. Therefore, it is necessary to study performance evaluation of commercial banks.This dissertation mainly studies the performance evaluation of China Construction Bank. A branch. A series of systems of performance evaluation established have achieved some success, they still need to be improved and a scientific and reasonable performance evaluation must be invented. This dissertation firstly expounds the theory of performance evaluation and assessment methods, introduces experiences of performance evaluation from home and abroad; then analyzes the history and the current status of CCB A branch, found out the problem in it, and put forward a series of detailed propose and project in the performance evaluation design, implementation and evaluation results application respectively. so as to provide some useful help to the management of performance evaluation for CCB A branch.
