A Study On The Employment Security Of Female Peasant Workers In China

With the reform and opening up policy and agricultural production efficiency, a large number of rural surplus labor force joined the ranks of the urban construction, contributing their own strength to the development of city. Among which are many rural women who broke the feudal tradition of detention, stepped out of home and began their working career. But the reality is more cruel to them, because of the double vulnerable identity of women and migrant workers, making their urban employment particularly bumpy and not flat. Companies tend to consider their weaker physical strength than men, coupled with the need to take birth, the responsibility of taking care of family, so that would often turn them down. From this we can see that the guarantee of women migrant workers is imperative, not only to the implementation of their individual rights, and the responsible for the performance of their families, but also to maintain social stability and the build of a harmonious society.This paper is carried out under such a background, using qualitative and quantitative research methods, with literature review, questionnaire survey and depth interviews and other means, trying to carry out a comprehensive and in-depth understanding the employment status of female migrant workers. The full text is divided into five parts: the first part is introduction, describes the background, object and scope of study, the domestic and foreign present research situation, research methods and the framework. The second part analyzes the female migrant workers employment insurance policies, describes the related theory to it. The third part is the main body of the thesis, based on the numerous survey data analysis, sums up the situation of women migrant workers’ job security and problems emerged, and lay the foundation for the follow-up corresponding policy. The fourth part analyzes the reason of the problems mentioned above, which is from the perspective of three stakeholders on women migrant workers-the government, the society and women themselves. The fifth part is the suggestions to perfect the female migrant workers employment security.This paper expects to comprehensively present the guarantee situation of women migrant workers through a more detailed theoretical and data analysis, to put forward the policy recommendations, to contribute my own strength to the maintenance of women’s rights and the construction of a harmonious socialist society.
