On The Present Situation Of Pasture Management In Contemporary Pastoral Areas

The grassland is the foundation of carrying Mongolia nomadic culture, is the carrier of inheriting and carrying forward the history of Mongolia, is the fundamental survival of pastoralists. Pasture management is not only related to the scale of production and benefit of livestock, herdsmen’s income and economic development in pastoral areas, but also is related to the sustainable development of grassland ecological balance. The thesis studies the development history and operation style of grassland management in Inner Mongolia, based on the concrete example of Dalai Sum in Shine Bargu West Banner.Since 1983, the household responsibility system was implemented. And according to the situation of that era, the system provides a more advanced model for grassland management in pastoral areas, and thus the scientific management of pastoral pasture has made some progress. But with the development of society and market economy, the existing pastoral management is starting to face new problems. To improve pasture management work and the mode is imminent.The thesis consists of six parts. The first part is introduction, and describes the research background, importance and methods of the study.The second part introduces the general condition of grassland management of Inner Mongolia.The third part describes the grassland usage and management in Dalai Sum of Shine Bargu West Banner.The Forth part pays attention to the existing problems in grassland management in Dalai Sum of Shine Bargu West Banner.The fifth part analyzes the influence of household responsibility system on various social aspects of pastoral area.At the end, the author pointed out some suggestions for the existing problems in the conclusion part.
