The increasing of the total efficiency of rural land-use change and the sustainable development of socio-economic is the goal of economic development of our country. Especially due to the major efforts for exploiting resources and rapidly industrial developing, some problems such as the increasing pressure of land-use and environmental issues have been obvious in recent years. Therefore the path of sustainable development is particularly important. And the increasing of the overall efficiency of rural land-use change is an important measure to achieve sustainable development.For improving the sustainable development of the rural land-use change in Shaanxi Province, first the structure of rural land-use change of Shaanxi Province, the characteristics of spatial distribution and other aspects are adopted to study the rural land-use changes. Secondly, with selecting the data such as NDVI, meteorological data of the year from1999to2011, the value of ecosystem services is calculated from four aspects of carbon fixation&releasing oxygen, water conservation, water conservation and air purification based on ecological value accounting method as CASA, ULSE, etc. Then the coupled correlation analysis of land-use changes is made based on statistical Yearbook of economic and social data. From three effectiveness aspects of ecological, economic and social, the overall efficiency of rural land-use change in Shaanxi Province is evaluated through adopting decision analysis methods. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The woodland, farmland, grassland have larger proportion, and the number of per cultivated area was low with a large exploration potential, Which are the structural features of rural land utilization in Shanxi Province. The types of land utilization changed with the increasing in construction land and the decreasing in other land types.(2) Big difference appears at space-time of the value of ecosystem services in rural areas of Shaanxi.The value of rural ecosystem services is calculated from four aspects such as carbon sequestration from the release of oxygen, water conservation, water conservation and air purification Value. The spatial distribution of regional ecological service value showed a decreasing trend from south to north. The high value regions are in most area of the Guanzhong Plain and the regional in the vicinity of Qinba mountainous of north region of southern Shaanxi. Meanwhile the low value regions distribute in in the north of the Great Wall of northern Shaanxi. The trends of the overall value of ecosystem services reflect upward fluctuations overall. The regions such as the north of the Great Wall, the south of Yan’an and the south of Shaanxi have a slow growth in the total value of ecosystem services. And the majority areas of the Guanzhong Plain and the southern region of the south Shaanxi have a medium growth speed in the total value of ecosystem services. The area of Hua County and parts of Luonan County shows a rapid growth.(3) It has strong correlation between Land use change, ecological and economic development.During the period from2000to2010, the coupling relationship between rural land-use change in Shaanxi Province and the ecological value shows that the correlation in the southern region of northern Shaanxi were enhanced with time flowing. The ecological value and land-use types indicate a weak association in northern Shaanxi, a medium association in Guanzhong area and southern region of Shaanxi correlation and a strong correlation in Baoji area and the north of Qinling Mountains. The order of the correlation between ecological value and land-use types is construction land> grassland> farmland> woodland> Water> construction land. Land-use change has a strong relationship with economic development. The correlation coefficient of first canonical variable is0.854. The correlation coefficient of first canonical variable between economic development and land-use types is0.797.(4) The total efficiency of land use in rural areas of Shaanxi province is in increasing trend overall.From three aspects of ecology, economy and society, the overall effectiveness of the rural land-use change of Shaanxi Province can be evaluated based on analytic hierarchy process.①From the spatial view, the amount of eco-efficiency shows a decreasing trend from south to north. The high level areas of eco-efficiency value are mainly distributed in the south and north area of Qinling Mountains and Guanzhong Plain. The low level of eco-efficiency distributes in the north of the Great Wall of northern Shaanxi. Interannual variability of space shows a upward trend in overall areas with a rapid increasing speed of eco-efficiency in south slope of Qinling Mountains and a decreasing trend of eco-efficiency in around areas of Xi’an due to urban sprawl.②The city which has continuous economic growth trend in annual change is Yulin. And the weighted values of eco-efficiency in cities of Weinan, Xianyang, Baoji, Xi’an and Hanzhong are decreasing year by year. Meanwhile the economic weighted sum of Tongchuan, Ankang and Shangluo are essential flat.③The total of social efficiency weighted sum of the city of Tongchuan and Shangluo is in smaller, and the average of multi-year are0.053and0.082. It is higher in Xi’an and Baoji with average value of0.21and0.19respectively. According to the change in trend, Tongchuan and Xi’an are essential flat, the continuous growing regions have Xianyang, Baoji, Hanzhong and Shangluo. The cities whose trends are firstly increased and then decreased are Yulin, Weinan and Ankang. Only the city of Yan’an has a sustained decline trend.④The total benefits of land-use changes:From three large geomorphic units, the cumulative overall benefits of land-use change from1999to2011reflect as Southern Shaanxi> Guanzhong> Northern Shaanxi. The cumulative values are23820.15,14294.15and14182.83respectively. Its overall performance is the growth trend with the slow growth in northern Shaanxi regions such as Jia County, Mizhi County, Wubu County, Suide County, most areas of Guanzhong Plain and Nanzheng County in southern Shaanxi, the rapid growth in northern Shaanxi regions such as Shenmu, Fu County, Ningqiang County and most areas of the southeast of Yichuan County and southern Shaanxi, and the medium growth speed in other regions.The innovations of this paper:first of all, under the circumstances of ensuring the accuracy of the spatial scale, the synchronization of time and space has maintained a high accuracy with the selecting a continuous time scale. Second, through integrating a variety of evaluation methods and the aspects of ecological, economic and social, the area of comprehensive effect is calculated, which provides the theory support for the overall planning area and also is in line with the goals of regional sustainable development.
