Due to the explosion of finance crisis and nuclear leakage in Japan, Every country in the world is developing nuclear power with more cautious and hence quickens their pace of seeking of new and clean energy. These definitely bring good news to photovoltaic industry. Driven by the positive policy abroad, Chinese PV industry went through a well developing period and push the development of quiet a few of PV companies. Consequently, China has become a great country of PV production and application. However, the "Double-Anti-Damping" survey and restriction to Chinese PV modules by America as well as the adjustment on PV subsidy policy in Europe cause some negative impacts:Downturn in oversea market for most of the domestic PV companies; over capacity and unmarketable inventory; fierce competition with declining price. Generally, Chinese PV companies suffer great loss and many of them bankrupt. What’s more, The "Anti-dump "&"Anti-subsidy" investigation launched by EU let the situation even worse. Chinese PV companies’ development is blocked; smaller ones will probably be merged and bankrupted. PV industry is facing integration; the ones which survive also need to bear the pressure of gross profit caused by oversupply.This thesis is trying to analyze how could CSI (Canadian Solar), A manufacturer dedicated to PV module producing, seize the opportunity, aware its pros and cons and make the best use of the circumstance with the help of strategy of core competiveness, low cost and differentiation strategy as well as analyzing core competiveness, exploring suitable strategies and ways to structure suitable core competiveness and strategic system and finally draw out the strategy of corporate developing. This report which based on large market investigations conducted by professional institutes and PV market department as well as a great deal of data collected by NDRC, Solar Energy Society, China New Energy Association and famous domestic and oversea magazines analyses the PV module industry objectively and multi-angled. Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model is used to analyze the competiveness of CSI in PV market; SWOT method is applied to analyze the external opportunities and internal disadvantages and then the demand, production, market competitive status and industry structure. Development status of main PV modules in China, the market trend and competitive structure are focused on in the report.On this basis, the last part of this thesis tries to analyze the future of the PV industry. It is useful in grasping the impulse of market, aware of competitors and investing strategically as being reference. Some advices are also given in this part for foreseeing the market changes and adjusting managing strategy and corporate developing methods based on self-condition timely. At the same time, this thesis provides certain information and decision basis to the research of industry regulation, formulation of industry policy and groups which are interested in investing. This thesis is also of great reference use for credit department of Banks.
