Present Situation Analysis And Development Countermeasures Of Beef Cattle Industry In Jinzhong City

Shanxi Province’s cattle industry has always been service to farming, mainly to Labor as a supplement to meat. Jinzhong City, one of the cattle breeding market in Shanxi province, have began cattle breed improvement since the1970s, Heshun, Xiyang, ZuoQuan, Yushe county had been described as "national cattle improvement base". Qixian is known as "the first county in Shanxi cattle". the study has focused on the current situation and shortcomings of Jinzhong City Beef Industry development, based on the statistical analysis, the development of the cattle breeding was rapid, the breeding amount has been increasing year after year, the proportion of beef production in meat total production was also rising. Beef Industry Development in our city showed a good Situation, but exist the shortage, including lack of excellent specialized beef breed, breeding cow herd could decline; rearing methods negligent, low-tech; driving force of head corporate poor, industrialization slow. The study propose four development Strategies: strengthening organizational guidance, scientific and rational planning beef industry development; constantly improving the technological level of beef cattle industry; vigorously promoting the new order model to achieve zero risk, mutual benefit; improving the supporting facilities, playing the role of scientific and technical personnel. The study will lay the theoretical basis for the development of the beef industry.
