Energy Security Evaluation And Development Countermeasures In Jiangsu Province

Energy is the foundation and guarantee of regional socio-economic development and progress. With the continuous expansion of energy production and use, Energy security has caused more and more attention. In particular, under the guidance of the concept of sustainable development, environmental security issues in the process of energy production and use has become a hot topic. Jiangsu Province is one of the economic developed provinces of eastern coastal area, which has strong demand for energy with the development of society and economic. But because of the scarce natural mineral resources in Jiangsu Province, most mineral resources rely on imports, besides, regional environmental problems have become increasingly prominent, energy security issues become the focus of government and academia in Jiangsu Province.Taking Jiangsu province as a typical example, this paper has researched on the types and optimization of energy security issue from the perspectives of supply security, use security and environmental security in order to make clear the development state of energy security evaluation factors and get full prepared for evaluation of the energy security in Jiangsu province. In accordance with the basic concepts and procedures of factor analysis, energy security index system for evaluation of Jiangsu Province was build from the aspects of energy supply, energy consumption and energy environment through SPSS. It was found that the shortage of regional energy contradictions become more prominent, the main factors of energy security has shown a shift which supply and demand contradictions is gradually transferred to the economic, environmental effects and the structure of regional energy consumption is single and other issues. On the basis of clearing energy security situation in Jiangsu Province and its causes, main countermeasures to improve the energy security in Jiangsu Province was taken.
