Research On Resource - Based Industry Efficiency Based On Knowledge Innovation

Resource-based industry, as one of the traditional industries, has been made anindelible contribution for China’s social and economic development. Meanwhile,resource-based industry is also suffered from the pressures of the transformation andupgrade from the low technical level, low value-added status to the high-tech, highvalue-added status. This is a challenge and an opportunity. With the deepeningdivision of knowledge, the degree of specialization and modernization is increasing inthe resource-based industry. The knowledge innovation permeates all aspects of theresource-based industries. The value created by knowledge is rising. So only rely onresource-driven has been unable to meet the requirements of modern resource-basedindustry’s development. The knowledge innovation is the fundamental way. Therefore,the resource-based industry must rely on knowledge-driven to meet innovationrequirements of its transformation and upgrade, at the same time of paying attentionof resources.Under this background, the resource-based industry’s efficiency is researched inthe perspective of knowledge innovation. Firstly, this paper summarizes the theoriesof knowledge innovation, and collects the index settings and research methods of theresource-based industry and other industries which can be learned from. Secondly,this paper defines the related concepts of the resource-based industry and determinesthe scope of the research. With the help of the analysis of the resource-basedindustry’s current situation, it’s clear to understand the resource-based industry’scharacteristics and knowledge innovation’s development. According to the experienceand achievements of forefathers’ researches, combined with the characteristics of theresource-based industry, the knowledge innovation of the resource-based industry isdefined. This paper also deeply analyses the impact mechanisms of the resource-basedindustry’s factors and the associated mechanisms of the knowledge innovation andefficiency. these all provide the theoretical basis for the empirical study. Furthermore,based on the theoretical analysis，This paper determines the DEA model of empiricalstudy and the construction principles of the index system, understands the problems which must be solved and avoided. So I can construct the index system of theresource-based industry’s efficiency of the knowledge innovation. Then, this articleselects the related data of12samples industries in2012, according to the CCR model,BCC model and super efficiency DEA model, I operate the results of efficiency byDEAP2.1software and EMS software, and evaluate the results. The next works areprojection analysis, classification and evaluation, super efficiency ranking, etc. Andthe longitudinal comparative analysis must be done between the results of2012and2011.Finally, based on the empirical results, conclusions are drawn in this article:(1)the development level of the resource-based industry is uneven, the overall level isgood;(2)Compared with2011, in2012the overall efficiency level of the resource-based industry’s knowledge innovation drops;(3)the resource-based industry needs tofurther strengthen the transformation and upgrading efforts. For resource-basedindustries knowledge innovation activities, as reflected in the conclusions put forwardsuggestions to adapt. In view of that the conclusions are a reflection of the knowledgeinnovation activity, according to the conclusions, suggestions are put forward.
