Banking Monopoly IT Vendor Management

The emergence of computers and the Internet has completely changed thetraditional bank’s business model，which be applied to the bank’s financial servicesproducts is called the bank’s electronic information. Today the competition among thebanks is between service quality and efficiency, which in turn depends on the extentand effect of the banking information. The success of banking information are alsodependent on the IT supplier of its products and services at a certain extent. How bankscan establish a win-win benign and cooperative relations, which is in this article needto examine: how the effective management of the monopoly IT vendors.This article investigates and studies based on commercial banks, and refers to the ampleliterature and research results, based on a detailed analysis of the banking industry andthe banking monopoly IT suppliers for the problems in the process of cooperation,given the steps of the Supplier Performance Evaluation; qualitative analysis andquantitative analysis of a combination of methods, qualification of suppliers, the realsupply price for a single index evaluation system, and comprehensive assessment ofthe individual indicators; and then combined with the actual operating requirements,given the supplier selection criteria and suppliers streamlined incentives and regularassessment of the dynamic management countermeasures.The innovation of this paper is that this paper adopts a combination of qualitativeanalysis and quantitative analysis to divide up gently the overall evaluation system ofthe banking sector monopoly IT suppliers and deals with each individual evaluationunder the same score framework, and puts forward a overall performance evaluationof quantitative method of the supplier, and on this basis, combines the background ofthe bank information technology, brings forward mainly strategies and suggestions onthe effective management of bank’s IT suppliers from the perspective of theprocurement. The research findings will help to improve the management of thebank’s IT suppliers.
