Design And Development Of Intelligent Public Traffic Simulation System

According to the professional standard development requirements of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, utility schools in Shanghai reform the curriculum system and teaching methods. To overcome the shortcomings in teaching, they create conditions to carry out the construction of the practical training center of urban traffic information technology. With construction of practical training simulation teaching application and practical training simulation and evaluation system, the real equipment operation will be assessed by online simulation, which greatly reduces teachers’ live assessment of the equipment operation of each student and cuts down the cost of damage of expensive equipments. It helps teachers reduce the waste of time and energy of on-site equipment operation exams, and enables students master the operation skills and knowledge of intelligent public transport business in the environment close to the reality, which will cultivate professionals of intellectual public transport conforming to the needs of society.The author of this paper studies the design and development of practical training simulation and evaluation system, including practical training simulation module construction and skill examination system construction. And for the development of content and special training simulation module, we need to troubleshoot simulating of device interactivity, automatic online scoring of evaluation, and importing and exporting operation result. The topics of this paper are as follows:(1) Practical Training Simulation Module: Conforming to the needs of urban traffic information technology teaching in Shanghai Public Utility Schools, I developed the practical training simulation module with four functions, including intelligent scheduling management, information disseminat ion and management, highway ETC, vehicle terminals.(2) Skill Examination Management System: Develop and construct the skill examination system with functions of test base management, examination management, paper management, examination place management, examinee management, score management, information inquiry management and statistical analysis management.(3) Simulation: Simulation of devices and environments, which enable person interacts with a computer, allows students take exams by the conputer.(4) Auto Scoring: Auto scoring of objective questions(multiple choices, true-or-false questions, fill in the blank), and training issues(operation simulation title) is solved. Automatic scoring system is previously available online only for objective questions, so the simulation operation questions online is the difficulty issues of the automatic scoring system implementation, and also an innovation.(5) Recording and recovery of operation simulation results. According to the actual school teaching needs, simulation includes exercises and exams. Data exchanges among simulation software, test software and servers is also a difficulty needed to be solved.I use JSP+Spring+ Hibernate to develop the system and oracle to store data.
