Optical interferometry is an important branch of the optical detection. Optical interference technology is recognized as one of the most effective and accurate measures in a variety of detection methods of optical systems, which plays an important role in the optical measurement. Interferometer based on optical interference technology, is a detection equipment, it can obtain information in a rapid, sensitive and accurate way with the feature of no-contact. This thesis is devoted to Twyman-Green interferometer. It is one of the optical inteference technologies and has been widely used in optical measurements. Therefore, it exerts a very important practical significance in researching and developing optical interference technology and interferometer.This topic is set up in collaboration with Nanjing Interface Photoelectric Technology Co. Ltd. The purpose is to study and analyze the existing problems and imperfections of interferometer, to optimize and improve its performance with new technologies and methods. An optimized proposal was raised based on the optical system structure of interferometer, formation mechanism of interference image and key technologies in interference image processing. The method of acquiring interference image by using network HD cameras is adopted and successfully applied in the system. The system controller is developed to adjust the optical system and phase testing system. What’s more, the thesis designs and analyzes hardware circuits, such as the microprocessor module, the control voltage output module, motor drive module, data communication module and keyboard interface module. Finally, embedded software design of the system controller is completed. Based on the research of interferometer testing process, testing software is written with G programming language on LabVIEW development platform. The successful implementation of the interferometer control and interference image acquisition, processing and display of test resultsThe hardware and software are tested in testing laboratories of Nanjing Interface Photoelectric Technology Co. Ltd, so as to verify the function and performance of the system. Test results show that the designed systems can work stably in interferometer, whose results are accurate. In addition, its performance has reached the requirements presented in the book of research mission. Now the developed system has been successfully applied to products.
