Inner Mongolia People 's Broadcasting Station "Gathering Tonight" Program Research

"Gather Tonight" is a comprehensive cultural live program of the Inner Mongolia People’s Broadcasting Station. With rich content, unique style and sound form, "Gather Tonight" has become one of the most influential Mongolian Broadcasting Programs. It is dedicated to spreading Inner Mongolia’s national history and culture to a wide audience, guiding people to protect and carry forward its traditional culture, and contributing to Inner Mongolia’s cultural construction. This paper studied the developing stages, content, form, achievements, and future development of "Gather Tonight" program through the observation and analysis of program samples collected from 2001 to 2015 broadcasts.This paper consists of three parts:introduction, main body and conclusion. The introduction explained study object, research status, topic selection rationale, significance of the topic, and research method. The main body consists of three main parts:the first part gave a general introduction of producing and development of "Gather Tonight" live program; the second parts analyze the program and its audience’s perspectives; the third part summarized the achievements and difficulties of the program and suggestions for future improvement. The study concluded that in order to further enhance the program quality of "Gather Tonight" and continue to provide as a comprehensive cultural live program, based on 15 years’content and form developing experience and lessons, it is necessary to explore and expand the program’s brand development.
