With the rapid development of science and technology, it is particularly critical for the Inner Mongolia satellite television to make high-quality programs by analyzing the status quo of its audience and understand the audience’s interests and demands. Making high-quality programs has even become the necessary element ensuring the Inner Mongolia satellite television’s survival and development in the era of media convergence. Based on basic situation (situation of watching Inner Mongolia television) of the audience of four towns in the eastern part of the Inner Mongolia, the paper explores the factors influencing the audience’s interests and demands and puts forward the specific countermeasures.This paper consists of introduction, main body and conclusion parts. An introduction to the object of paper is described in the introduction part, stating the research purpose and meaning, research status and research methods. The main body is divided into three chapters. The first chapter discusses the historical development procedure and present situation of the Inner Mongolia satellite television and the classification of its programs. In the second chapter, the author firstly introduces the research on the audience of Inner Mongolia Satellite television and general situation of its audience, and then analyzes the survey of Inner Mongolia satellite television viewers from eastern part of Inner Mongolia. As for the third chapter, the author collects the suggestion of the Inner Mongolia satellite television audience from eastern Inner Mongolia and requests to Inner Mongolia satellite TV. In the conclusion part, the research results are summarized and the suggestions are put forward.
