Abstract/Summary:
At present, the vegetable planting industry is in the process of rapid advance from the traditional to modern agriculture. The development of modern planting industry needs scientific and technical support. In order to speed up the development of local agricultural informationization, we have conducted investigation, comprehensive analysis and expert argumentation. And we try to build a vegetable planting system which can be widely used, so as to change the traditional planting, enhance the cultivation of professional, optimize the allocation of resources, and improve work efficiency. In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) develop rapidly, and we realize a vegetable planting monitoring and controlling system based on it. First, by using various types of sensors, RFID, video cameras, it can sense temperature, humidity, illumination etc. Second, by using sensor network, Internet and mobile networks, it can achieve the real-time monitoring of vegetable, soil and environment information. Finally, the massive amount of vegetable planting information is analyzed and processed, so as to achieve the automatic vegetable planting, optimization control, intelligent management. Therefore, there are some problems to solve. First, we analyze the critical business functions and get them optimized. We realize environment monitoring, automatic alarming when abnormal events happen, achieve remote device controlling, and customized data statistics. Moreover, we give a detailed description of these processes. Second, we introduce the architecture of IoT system and its functions with use cases and package diagrams. Third, we analyze the fundamental data which business function needs, and design the database and table structures. Finally, the paper further discusses the study direction and future works.
