Background Prophylactic immunization service is one important part of public health service, its service informatization, intellectualization construction in urgent need of development and perfection. Especially, nowadays people getting information through methods, while there’s gradually increased consciousness of health caring.The new vaccines, knowledge of disease prevention needed to be extending rapidly. Specially vaccines for pneumonia, flu, cervical cancer and lung cancer, have been developed and displayed. The service objects also extending from children to adults in all age. While the population mobility is increasing, and open policy for second fetus demanding a massive number of vaccines. Therefore, the technology of digitization and informatization on vaccination could use internet and mobile communication, for extending the range of service objects, promoting interaction and feedback. It is important to improving the traditional medical system, to invent a new system with individual service characters, to provide actual medical service to public.Objective We summarized the core business process of vaccination, by analyzing the content, manners and workflow of the existing prophylactic immunization work. We finished the design of functions, structure, operational modules, data structures and pages of the system, according to the analysis for hundreds of vaccines info application and national immunization information management system situation. Through the development of the system pages and core functions, we completed examples of verification. To provide reference for improving the vaccination network service, and accumulate experience for basic level health service informationization construction.Methods We completed requirement analysis using the method of literature analysis, feasibility analysis, business process analysis and use case analysis, on the basis of collecting basic data and determining the reference standards. We completed the system design, based on the MVC framework design pattern, using the B/S three layer structure and the structured design method. We completed the verification, by building the system development environment, based on Android Software platform framework, using development tools such as eclipse, development technologies such as JSP, MySQL database and black box testing method.Results The participation subject of the prophylactic immunization service includes Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, vaccination units, vaccination doctors, vaccine enterprises and service objects. The workflow of the prophylactic immunization service is "confirm the service subject→■ notice children’s parents or guardians→ distribution or receive the vaccine→ preparation vaccines and injection equipments→ verify the service subject→ health status inquiry→ inoculation-record →appointment→observation→AEFI monitoring".The designed system including PC client and mobile client, includes two function modules, which are vaccination unit and service object, involving 15 core functions such as the inquiry, the appointment, the vaccination, the evaluation, the suspected AEFI report and so on. The database includes 5 system entities, such as registered users, vaccine enterprises, vaccination, vaccination units, and the service objects, and the 9 data tables, such as appointment and inoculation information table. We completed the design of system pages and UI of APP and case verification and system testing.Conclusion Immunization service information system added a number of innovative network service functions, on the basis of meeting the basic vaccination work demands. We verified the operability, continuity and rationality of the system by an example. The system can expanded the age range of service people, can realize cross area, different time reservation, can improve immunization safety and work efficiency, timely access to feedback information, and provide the humanized service.
