A Study On The Development Of "Ta Kung Pao Small Park"

"Ta Kung Pao", first published in 1902, is one of the most influential newspapers in China news history. In its long history, "Ta kung Pao" founded many supplements, in which the most especially one is the "Little park". "Little park" supplement lasted for seven years and eight months. It should be the longest continuously published supplement in "Ta Kung Pao" history. It is full of value to do the research on "Little park", whether from the consideration of news or literature and art.This paper start from the history of He Xinleng. First part mainly discusses the historical origin of "Little park" and explains He Xinleng’s operations in the initial stage. The rest parts introduce about the transition period and the change made by Xiao Qian when he took over the "Little park" supplement. In this paper, the "Little park" supplement itself was the complete object of study. With the analysis of its different states, we can tease out the historical development of "Little park" supplement. Furthermore, the study provides a comprehensive and systematic reference of "Ta Kung Pao" and supplement’s history.
