The paper analyzes the work principles,methods and control strategies of reactive power compensation, on the basis of domestic electricity market, considers economic conditions and adaptability of the reactive power compensation, this paper designs a new kind of high-voltage reactive power compensation control system applying to the 10KV distribution network.In order to satisfy the requests of high speed and control precision of the reactive power compensation controller, the high-voltage reactive power compensation controller that this paper designs uses dual-CPU architecture. The controller includes gathering unit and the control unit in two parts. The gathering unit takes FLASH 8 microcontroller C8051F040 as a core, the control unit takes 32 ARM7 nucleuses LPC2290 as a core, and transplants the uC/OS-II embedded operating system.Gathers instant two phase line voltage and single-phase interphase current signal through ADC12 of C8051F040,then calculates the voltage effective value and the electric current effective value, According to the circuit theory, calculates electrical network’s active power P, reactive power Q, apparent power S, the power factor COSφand so on key parameter. On the basis of analyzing the control strategy of a variety of reactive compensation, uses the compound criterion of the bus bar voltage and the reactive power to control cuts and switches. In nine area chart control policy foundation, further subdivides nine area charts, divides the critical region which easily produce shake, and adopts the separate control strategy to control. The controller extends color screen of 256 colors and touch screen, so the controller has better man-machine interface. Controller’s primitive operational data saves in the electronic hard disk of 256M, and the hard disk may also save the massive real time system data. The Controller also expanded the Ethernet interface to facilitate direct access to industrial Ethernet controller, the controller realized the remote control and management.
