The fast development of power industry in China,distribution network powerload increasing and reactive power demand is in constant growth.Reactive power isnot only to guarantee the power quality of power system,but also to reduce the lossof power grid and ensure the safe operation of the indispensable part.Most of thedistribution network line is10kV-line, so for10kV-line reactive power compensationis of great significance and also is an indispensable component of the construction ofthe good distribution network.This paper mainly introduces the background of the reactive powercompensation and the principle of reactive power compensation, a comparativeanalysis on the advantages and disadvantages of the different way ofcompensation.Perch on the compensating way parallel capacitor, one-time late smallinvestment, easy maintenance, suitable for long distance distributioncircuit.According to the characteristics of the distribution network itself,the forwardand backward substitution method used in power flow calculation, and write aprogram to compute.Through the example,it proved this algorithm is simple andconvenient, reliable convergence.Paper proposed is applicable to any load structure and the distribution of themathematical model of the distribution network,and the minimum network loss as thetarget function is calculated, thus the optimal solution is obtained. On the choice ofposition compensation node, the application method of Quadratic accurate moment ofreactive power.And correction coefficient is introduced to make the results more inline with the actual situation. In the case of compensation location to determine,tosolve the capacity of each compensation node,The Lagrangian multipliers areintroduced to review the formula for the optimal solution, will eventually formulareduction for the first order linear equations, so that facilitate programmingcalculation is very simple and efficient.In the Xixian practical engineering of10kV-line reactive compensation,using the method of this paper to calculation andanalysis. In addition, the article also introduces the line reactive power compensationmonitoring system.It uses GPRS remote communication technology to realize thebackground monitoring data acquisition and exchange between the host andcontroller,and specifically introduces the communication module DTU setup process,made a detailed introduction to the function of the background software.
