China is a big country of energy demand, with the increase of urbanization rate, energy consumption and emissions in the construction field will be rapid growth, building energy consumption will account for about 40% of total energy consumption of the whole society. At present, our country is in the rapid development of urbanization, the process of urbanization is bound to lead to the construction of sustainable growth, which will deep constraction of the energy supply and demand contradiction and the situation of environmental pollution. The integration technology of photovoltaic building has the advantages of no occupation of land, close to electricity load, clean and non pollution, and so on, which is highly full of applied value. Since twenty-first Century, China’s university campus area rose sharply, the proportion of the campus construction in the social construction of the stock increased significantly.However, the university campus has the character of intensive personnel and large energy consumption. And in the overall layout, architectural design, daily management aspects, campus also have their unique needs and characteristics, therefore, the application integration of photovoltaic building in the campus environment is very necessary.In this paper, firstly summarized and perfected the related theory of BIPV, analyzed the advantages of planning, energy consumption, scientific research and education demonstration, and so on; Then done the the Research of China’s BIPV project in Colleges and universities, summarized from the angle of cell types, arrangement and installation of photovoltaic arrays, the capacity of photovoltaic system, the construction type PV system combined with, economic benefits and environmental benefits, pointed out that the lack of practical engineering application and put forward the idea of BIPV application in Colleges and universities; Put forward the method of valuing photovoltaic power generation potential on existed building roof in campus, And assessed the potential of photovoltaic power generation on the Xiamen campus of Huaqiao University on the basis of that; Done the virtual design of photovoltaic integrated with teaching building in Xiamen campus of Huaqiao University, simulated the design and calculated the power generation with PVSYST software on the end.
