| At the present day, extensive use of the conventional fossil fuel energy produce considerable amount of green-house gas, mostly carbon dioxide, has resulted in air pollution, global warming, and other serious environment issues. More and more people had cognizance of that it is necessary to find other energy as the alternative of fossil fuel energy. As one of the important and effective method, the technique of photovoltaics (PV), which can transfer the solar energy from sunlight into the form of electricity, has become the hottest topic in worldwide.There varieties of solar cell were created during the course of PV development, such as crystalline silicon PV, thin film PV, dye-sensitized PV and so on. Thereinto, thin film PV has attractive advantages for applying to BIPV, which include cost reduction and efficiency promotion of BIPV system. However, BIPV is booming by the application of thin film PV.In the late1970s, the conception of BIPV was invented in USA. Subsequently, many countries was involved in the research and development of BIPV because its many excellent characteristics. Nowdays, BIPV has been become the irreplaceable part of buildings when it play as roof, external wall, awning.BIPV is complicated system which is combined photovaltics technology and architecture. It’s system performance is restricted by many factors, such as the type of solar cell, the form and location installed on the buildings, electric enquipment of system choiced, climate type, intensity of illumination, atmospheric temperature and so on. So that, building a sucessful BIPV project required that designer carefuly consider each influce factor, then take into account the whole system in order to optimize the performance of BIPV.BIPV is not only implement the fuction of generating electicity but also play a part of bulidings. Therefore, the designer of BIPV should follow the principle of BIPV design: architectural aesthetics, architectural function, maxmium eletric power outputing and system stability and maintainability. The designing of architectural function is the first step of the process of BIPV design.and the photovoltics system design will be the next step when the first step has been considered. Henglong Plaza, a large scale shopping center located in Shenyang will be taking into account as a case study in order to intuitively explain the design method and process of BIPV. During the case study, the simulation software PVsyst is adopted to support the work of BIPV design. All parameters setting in PVsyst is collected from the Henglong Plaza in reality which guaranteed the result of simulation is high precision and reliability.In this paper, the type and character of each PV are introduced firstly, and then the discussion is taking place at the advantages of thin film PV. Moreover, in order to build a better understanding for BIPV, the installation and unfavourable factors of performance are explained as much as details. After that, a design process of BIPV is discussed by taking advantage of PV Design Software-PVsyst. The output power of system is carried out by software simulation. At last, conclusion and recommendation are represented at the end of dissertation. |
