Study On The Renewal Design Of Featured Blocks Based On Collective Form Theory

With the rapid development of human society, the construction of urban Collective Form, the activation of urban areas energy, has become a trend in today’s urban development. This article has regarded design and updating of being the historical cultural significance for Collective Form as well as special areas of urban development as the main update and design objects; introducing the concept and design method of Collective Form Theory to explore the interaction between contemporary architecture and urban form, the deeper excavation of the characteristic neighborhoods’ inherent meaning, remodeling space, form update and other related expression, to provide a new perspective and design methods of dynamic development for the Renovation Design of Featured Blocks.The article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the part of the basic research, with the research of background, purpose, significance and the main framework of paper to make introduces, leads to updating design of new techniques and new angle of Featured Blocks based on Collective Form Theory.The second chapter explains the concept of Featured Blocks, causes, Classification, characteristics and updated trends and relevant theories of urban design and architectural design to find a meeting point of updating design and cluster formation theory for neighborhoods characteristics: richness spatial form combination, even more three-dimensional space form, even more dynamic and morphological space characteristic and more closer combination of city public system, even with the ambiguity of neighborhood boundaries.The third chapter analyzes the related basic concepts and theories as well as the core features of Fumihiko Maki Collective Form Theory, which focused on analyses of collective form theory of architectural space constructed: dispersion and event, no center and no axis, gray and fuzzy of space, openness and freedom, and more the "oku", provides a theoretical basis for the application of the collective form theory in the renewal of featured blocks. At the same time, through the depth analysis and research for Daikanyama blocks design case, summarize and extract criticism and innovation to modern urban design and spatial planning in the Collective Form Theory.The fourth chapter studied the methods of renovation design of featured blocks based on the collective form theory from the way of thinking, generating techniques, performance image and etc., while listing domestic and foreign mature case of blocks as evidence; comprehensively discussing the good relationship for dynamic balance and harmonious coexistence of city and the building creating by feature blocks of collective form theory.The fifth chapter starts from renovation design of three different types feature blocks cases to realize renovation design of features blocks by using collective form theory; combined with the current trends and context of urban development; summarized the urban development meaning for feature blocks of collective form theory. Finally the renovation design of Xuzhou "old Alley" featured blocks project as case, collective form theory design methods were to try and resolved the superiority of its spatial form.
