Research On Driving Safety Distance And Read-End Collision Warning System Of High-grade Highways

As the primary section of the Intelligent Transportation System, the vehicle active safety technology plays a dominant role in the modern transportation management system. By using Automobile Read-End Collision Warning System, the rate of behind collision can be reduced, which could decrease casualties and property damage. Therefore, study on the High-Grade Highway Read-End Collision Warning System is of significance to our society. Based on the MC9S12XS128 MAA SCM(Single Chip Microcomputer), the detection system of safety distance was established. This system can examine the rationality of model and feasibility of distance measurement method. What’s more, the study has finished design of the High-Grade Highway Read-End Collision Warning System on the vehicle terminal platform.To verify safety distance model and distance measurement method, some circuit models based on MC9S12XS128 MAA were designed, such as the minimum system circuit of microcontroller, the signal acquisition circuit, the warning circuit and etc. Furthermore, the software was programmed in the Code Warrior IDE(Integrated Development Environment), which can come true the exploitation of model detection system.This distance measurement method was applied on the vehicle terminal platform. Based on the BL-4412 embedded development board, the hardware platform of Read-End Collision Warning System has been established. Meanwhile, The Android Application Program has been exploited under the Eclipse IDE, and realized the transplantation of safety distance model. This system can collect vehicle distance through laser measuring sensor. And then, the speed signal was captured from CAN or OBD. According to this signal, the safe distance can be figured out. If the vehicle distance is less than safety, the system would give an alarm through audio function.Finally, this study has performed vehicle test of the High-Grade Highway Read-End Collision Warning System. The result presented that the Read-End Collision Warning System of High-Grade Highway, in this paper, can implement early warning function, were equipped with excellent sensitivity.
