Research And Development, Highway Car Rear-end Collision Warning System

The traffic safety condition is becoming more and more serious in recent years. If the drivers can be informed before the accidents take place, the safety level will be improved greatly. The freeway vehicle rear-end anti-collision warning system is such a technique based on the initiative security of automobile when driving.Firstly, the outline of the freeway vehicle rear-end anti-collision warning system is designed, the system include four sub-systems: the main control unit of sub-system, radar ranging of sub-system, information gathering unit of sub-system and monitor, sound & light alarm of sub-system. Based on it, the key technologies involved in the system are determined. Based on analyzing of the vehicle system dynamics, the safety distance model is predigested and improved, some is determined. Based on the safety distance model, the software and hardware of the main control unit of sub-system and radar ranging of sub-system is designed, the key technologies is solved. Finally, based on simulation test, the system processed vehicle experimental test, the system function are investigated.
