In recent years, with the rapid development of information and communication technology, the rise of mobile intelligent terminals, the application of many traditional science and technology have transformed to the mobile devices. More and more applications of various technologies is popularly applied based on android system. It has been applied in spectral acquisition system. Mobile equipments has the advantages of intelligence, small in size, simple in operation, fast response, etc and it has broad application prospects in the actual spectrum acquisition and detection.This paper presents a new scheme of spectral information acquisition. Compared with the conventional way of data acquisition, the scheme makes full use of popular mobile operating platform to realize the data acquisition and transmission with the USB host mode of the system. Traditional data acquisition should be realized by computer equipment. So, it will bring great inconvenience for outdoor data acquisition. Using smart phones and other mobile devices can effectively solve the inconvenience of the equipment volume.Through the research and analysis of portable spectrum acquisition system at home and abroad, the advantages of the mobile embedded system and differences between these two platforms are described in detail. According to the theoretical analysis, this paper uses usb interface to transform the data with the Android platform. In this paper,using the V4L2 framework and the Libusb open source library complete the connection of the spectrometer and realize the spectral image data collection.According to the design scheme, the acquisition of spectral information is finished.The design is tested several times and the results is analyzed completely. Comparing the two implementations, the final choice is the libusb scheme. After extracting spectral information of image pixel, using the system AchartEngine graphics library realizes spectral data graphical display and the calibration of spectrum wavelength. Using the relational database SQLite completes the Spectral data storage.Experiments show that Android operating system can perfectly complete the data collection, data transmission and display of spectrum image. Many tests can be done with different spectral detection and wavelength calibration error is also in the control range. The system is small in size, compact in structure, fast in response, easy to carry,and realizes the movement, intelligence and miniaturization of the spectrometer collection system.
