An Exploration Of The "New Chinese Style" Landscape Design In The Way Of "Poetry" And "Painting"

With people’s consciousness of Chinese cultural renaissance rising, people began to focus local features which exist but are gradually forgotten.The Chinese landscape design returned from "exotic style" to the Chinese style,thus the "new Chinese style" landscape came into being.The "new Chinese style" is not simply a pile of Chinese elements,but a dynamic integration of fashion and tradition based on an understanding of traditional culture.However,many cases of the "new Chinese style" does not dig the essence of Chinese traditional culture in classical gardens,instead they are just blind piling of traditional elements.This paper takes ancient poetry and landscape painting in the traditional Chinese culture as a starting point.By studying their connection with Chinese classical gardens,the author extracts their core application in Chinese classical gardens and applies it to the practical case design.The main findings are as follows:(1)According to previous researches,the paper redefines the concept of "poetic", introduces its demonstration methods in Chinese classical gardens and states the great significance of application of "poetic" in the "new Chinese style" landscape design.(2)The paper analyzes the development process of the integration of two types of traditional arts between Chinese ancient poetry and Chinese classical gardens, discusses the application of Chinese ancient poetry in Chinese classical gardens,and summarizing the common characteristics shared by ancient poetry and classical Chinese gardens.It also explores how these connections are reflected in the "new Chinese style" landscape and how they can be applied to specific design cases.(3)The paper analyzes the development process of the integration of two types of traditional arts between landscape painting and Chinese classical gardens,discusses the application of landscape painting in Chinese classical gardens,and summarizing the common characteristics shared by landscape painting and classical Chinese gardens.It also explores how these connections are reflected in the "new Chinese style" landscape and how they can be applied to specific design cases.These results will provide a reference for the "new Chinese style" landscape design.
