The Study Of The Space Form Design About Universities In Northwest China

The high quality of campus space can play active role to provide students with a good learning and living environment. The higher education in Northwest China has been steadily improving with the development of social technology and economy,but increasingly problem is exposed alone with the rapid scale expansion of the enrolment of university and construction land expansion. This paper aimed at the Northwest University Campus Space Form Planning and design,based on HEXI University’s site plan, investigated and analyzed the problem in Northwest University Campus Space Form,such as lack of regional characteristics, ignoring environmental design, scale imbalance, lack of the connection with the city and so on. Study on regional characteristics of design principles and methods in Northwest University Campus Space Form,put forward the design principles, such as regional, people-oriented, sustainable development and so on. Analysis from the aspect of campus space organization, campus functional area, outdoor environment and road traffic design, and summary design method of Northwest universities campus space form based on regional characteristics.The condition of natural environment about northwestern area is drought and cold, but also has rich natural resources and cultural background. According to northwest unique natural environment and cultural characteristics, from the center plaza, teaching space, landscape and campus-front space, discussed Northwest Universities Campus outdoor Space regional characteristics of building and design methodFirstly, this article expounds the topic research background, research significance, research content and research methods; review the theory in evolution of the regional characteristics of the domestic and foreign university campus spa ce form. Analysis the influence factors of space form in Northwest China University campus, then looking at the trend of its development. Secondly, research and analysis the problems in the university campus space form planning and design of the northwest region, discussed the design principles and methods of the university campus space form. Finally, combination of HEXI University’s site plan, starting from the idea of the overall design of the campus space form, the functional structure, spatial elements, the form of architecture and landscape system then put forward some planning and design schemes. The combination of theory and practice, with a view to the future of the northwest region of the university campus space form construction has certain guiding significance.
