In the field of transmission line online monitoring, storage battery combined with solar power supplies are often used as the supply of transmission line online monitoring device. The tabulate solar power structure is usually applied to this power supply mode. However, this structure has the disadvantages of low light energy utilization rate, large volume, weak ability to resist wind and rain that cannot be applied to the areas with little sunlight and harsh climate. Considering above, a new solar power structure with high-usage solar energy, high anti-wind and anti-rain capability is researched. In this paper, the plane reflection and tridimensional solar power structure is official proposed. Meanwhile, the hardware design, production of the device, the device installation, test and verification test are also achieved. Finally, an improvement idea is proposed to fix the tridimensional solar power structure. This paper will provide a fresh thought for the research of transmission line online monitoring energy supply device.Firstly, this paper analyses these factors such as intensity of illumination, typhoon, rain, temperature, fog and haze, icing, and other climate conditions which may have an influence on the solar power. In the meantime, the main factor that affects the efficiency of solar energy transmission has been analyzed.This paper proposed two strategies of energy supply for the sun-generated electric power, one of them is plane reflection solar power structure while, the other is tridimensional solar power structure, both of them have the abilities of anti-wind and anti-rain. The former uses the reflectance coating to improve the utilization rate, the latter applies the membrane and cube structure to improve the utilization rate. Meanwhile, they all use the high transparency shell to prevent the direct destruction of wind and rain.Secondly, according to theoretic design, the design of manufacturing drawings, selection and purchase the components in the two solar power structures, hardware making and installing to one piece and functional test are completed. Furthermore, the experiment of solar power’s working characteristics, the relationship between solar power output power and its surface temperature and the comparison among traditional tabulate mode, plane reflection mode, and tridimensional mode solar power working in the condition of sunshine, windy, and rainy weather conditions are completed.Lastly, aiming at the deficiency shown in the characteristic test of the tridimensional solar power structure, an improvement is made to the shell that consummates the tridimensional solar power structure further.
