Suzhou Classic Gardens is the essence of Chinese classical gardens. From ancient times, there are lots of articles on the study of Suzhou Classic Gardens, However, the research on the space must proceed from the nature of space spatial structure. Porous structure is ubiquitous in nature, and is a structure model of great value. Because porous structure can be used as the specific image carrier to study the space, using porous structure to study the space of Suzhou Classic Gardens may give us further understanding and description of the correlation between the space, thus, deeply learning and experiencing the inherent essence of Chinese Classical Gardens.In this paper, we explore the porous space of Suzhou Classic Gardens by using actual case studies and summarizing results of previous studies. The main content can be divided into four chapters:The first chapter focuses on the study of the theoretical background and research reasons, the object and the scope; the second chapter discusses the theory of space around gallery and the porous structure, as well as the concept and development of space around gallery and the porous structure, at the same time, the second chapter also give a detailed description of the profile of space around gallery in the existing Suzhou Classic Gardens. The third chapter gives depth analysis on the porous space around gallery in Suzhou Classic Gardens. Such as the classification of porous space, and the interface elements constituting the pore, as well as the scale of the pore. And then, spatial effects that porous space can achieve are also be discussed in the third chapter. Finally, some cases about the porous space around gallery are put forward to support the theory, thus, summarizing the characteristics of porous space around gallery in Suzhou Classic Gardens. The fourth chapter studies the porous space from a dynamic point of view, like research on the relationship between the porous space, and spatial effects every relationship formed, From the comparison on the size of porous space, to the density arrangement, this paper studies the changes in the rhythm of porous space, and the role porous space act on guidance and implied or comparison and coordination. Also, this paper uses visual perception theory to study the changes in sight that the porous space brings and perceived changes in the dynamic linear path space.In a word, by studying porous space around gallery in Suzhou Classic Gardens comprehensively and in an orderly way and step by step, the paper will form its own opinions and conclusions to provide some guidance and suggestions for the future study of Suzhou classical garden and landscape design. |
