The Study On The Entrance Space Of Suzhou Classical Gardens

Classical Gardens of Suzhou has superb artistry and rich cultural deposits, it also reflects the traditional Chinese space concept. Through the effective organization and design, gardens often make people get a wonderful experience and an artistic enjoyment from the landscape and architecture. Although it is not widely known, Su Zhou gardens still has the significant functionality and art as an organic part of garden integral space. This article is based on the garden entrance, which is in Su Zhou classical gardens, as the research object. Based on the abundant research, the entrance will be made a definition at the first; meanwhile, we will expound some entrance exchange of site, feature and frame in Su Zhou garden's evolution from a private to public. And then, the article will analyze the condition of existing entrance of Su Zhou gardens and discuss about the form and design method. Not only does the architecture of entrance space of Su Zhou classical gardens embody the traditional Chinese garden superb skills, but also has a revelatory meaning of our modern landscape's entrance space design.
