Pneumatic conveying system was followed by high energy consumption and serious wear damage for higher conveying speed. A long-standing major tendency of pneumatic conveying system is the realization of production directed by more accurately scientific data and the exploration of scientific and reasonable design methodology and evidences. In this way, the low speed transportation, low energy consumption transportation, thereliable and stable operating system will come true, meeting the transmission efficiency of actual production-run, and improving control performance.In this research, we analyzed the types and conditions of pneumatic conveying devices,determined more reasonable types and conditions. There were drawbacks in constant flow pneumatic conveying system and single pump conveying system of coal ash, when the equipments working. In view of the working needs of the real conditions in coal ash pneumatic conveying, the double pump pneumatic conveying system with constant pressure was employed.Then parameters in this system was calculated and setted, and some structures were improved.The proportion of ash and air was controlled by the setted and controlled delivery pressure in constant pressure conveying, and the lowset speed transportation, pressure-loss and tube and valve wear realized. The setted constant pressure during constant adjusting was matched with a suitable speed definitely. According to the knowledge of solid-gas flow, the simulation analysis of coal ash pneumatic conveying model was conducted by FLOTRAN in ANSYS. The distribution of pipeline pressure and air flow state under different air speed was analyzed. The optimum and scientific conveying speed was determined, meeting the need of actual production situation.The plan of constant pressure double pump pneumatic conveying system of coal ash was researched in detail. The key controller, that is PID, was discussed deeply. The parameters of PID were adjusted and optimized by MATLAB. The auto PID-controller was established by fuzzy control algorithm. The simulation research of PID-controller was conducted by MATLAB/Simulink. And these data became theoretical evidences for practice.Finally, the software design and spot debugging of constant pressure double pump pneumatic conveying system of coal ash were introduced. It verified that the united constant pressure pneumatic conveying system with two-bin-pump for coal ash could continuously and stablely operate for a long time, satisfying the need of spot coal ash transportation, and reduced the disadvantages of pneumatic transmission.
