Research On The Landscape Design Of Commercial Buildings’ Roof Gardens In Xi’an

With urbanization development is developing rapidly,nowadays, the problems of urban population expansion and construction-intensive are becoming serious,which leads to the space of park lands is very limited in the centre of city.We can translate the rooftops’ space into the gardens,which can enlarge city green space.The advantages of roof gardens are that they can instead of the ground gardens and bring the added value for the buildings.Although roof gardens have many types,commercial buildings’ roof gardens can meet the needs of people and should be promoted, because they have adequately funded,elegant landscape design, a high flow of customer and so on.Nowadays,the leisure activity territory of people is beginning to lean to the commercial space,including restaurants, shopping centers, cinemas,however,with the impact of electronic commerce,the single model of commercial construction began to transition to the commercial complex, which is the integration of commercial retail,commercial office, hotel catering,apartment residential,integrated entertainment. Nevertheless, the number of new model commercial buildings have become more numerous and the demands of customers are also increasing, which leads to customers choose distinctive commercial buildings which have a comfortable environment, people-oriented services. Commercial building roof garden can not only increase the amount of green area and beautify the buildings, but also provide a comfortable rest space for customers. The most important is to bring the huge economic returns for businesses.This paper’s research object is based on commercial building Roof garden.This research combines theoretical analysis and practical investigation and sorts out the types,characteristics,functions and so on. By virtue of the speciality of the regional characteristics of Xi’an and Special properties of commercial architecture,the paper investigates the 7commercial buildings roof gardens.For one thing some good design ways are distilled;for another existing problems should be analyzed and solved. The last step, taking an example of Xi’an Hilton and verifying the promotion that commercial building roof gardens’ advantages and feasibility in Xi’an.
