Investigation And Design Of Regional Culture And Entertainment Outdoor Space Environment

Nowadays, the city culture development is paid growing attention. In order to enlarge the tourism attraction, the number of facilities related to the culture and entertainment is increased continuously in many major cities. However, some of them are aspired the flamboyant design but wasted the internal used space, also restricted the cultural variety and missed the connection with local culture. Apart from indoor space design, the outdoor public space is also important for culture communication, but it is less attractive on its design and the current designs are quite similar with each other. Consequently, the effects of regional features on the design of outdoor space environment which based on the local culture is extremely important. In this thesis, on the basis of literature review and practic study, current status of outdoor space cultural and entertainment design has been analysed, additionally, some suggestions and strategies have been proposed for future outdoor space cultural and entertainment facilities design.This thesis consists of following parts:(1) Based on the research and summary of literatures which related to culture and entertainment architecture, and outdoor space environment design, their conceptions and theories, the performance, importance and imminent of regionalism of culture and entertainment architecture are indicated and illustrated.(2) Combined with the case investigation in literatures and journal papers, the current status and issues have been analysed for culture and entertainment architecture in China.(3) According to the performance of surrounding environment Ofregionalised culture and entertainment architecture, practice analysis method has been applied to comprehensively evaluate the issues of architecture related to city space and citizen activity space. In addition, the advantages and disadvantages have been analysed. Moreover, design procedures and strategies of outdoor environment of regionalised culture and entertainment architecture have been proposed.(4) Eventually, the design procedures and strategies have been employed and analysed to outdoor environment design of Yan’An Theatre.Some conclusions are obtained by investigation and analysis:(1) About regionality in numerous civic buildings reflected in the design of outdoor space environment, so far no unified method, the author sum up a set of feasible implementing scheme: first is collect local material. Second is according to the natural geography, humanity history reason why select regional elements of field application. Third is using the regional elements(materials, form, color) to the outdoor space environment design.Fourth is through the concrete and the abstract expression to build regional culture atmosphere.(2) Development tendency of outdoor space environmentof future culture and entertainment architecture is increasingly attractive in many cities. It becomes significant of promoting the city spiritual civilization and the rapid development of tourism economy.
