Vehicle traveling data recorder(VTDR) is a digital electronic recording device, which can record not only the data of speed, location, time, mileage and other state information in real time, but also can storage datas and output the datas through the interface. Nowadays, Alonging with the increase of car ownership and the increase in the number of traffic accidents, the vechicle traveling data recorder is playing an important role. It can not only prevent fatiguing driving and contain speeding, but also can find traffic violation, further more, the vehicle traveling data recorder can restrict the drivers bad driving behavior, it is playing an important role on ensuring the traffic safety and analysising the reason of road traffic accident. Nowadays, the role of new type vehicle traveling data recorder system is mainly reflected in three aspects. The first function is to collect and record the traveling data, such as rious of datas about traveling states information, the driver’s identity information, and so on. The second function is to output the data, including display the real-time data of vehicle operation, print the data saved in VTDR. The third function is to monitor and dispatch management. By using the GPRS wireless network, it can transmit the data to the remote monitoring center which includes vehicle position, speed, the status of switch, and so on. It can realize the interactive communication between the VTDR and the internet monitoring center. As a result, the new type of VTDR is no longer a separate terminal device, it has to do with the Internet, monitoring platform to form a complete recorder system.Thesis first accord to requirements of national standard GB/T19056-2012, in combination with the current demand of automobile manufacturer for recorder, we designed the the hardware circuit, in which we used the MB96F385 as the MCU, finally excogitate a high-performance product.Secondly, In the hardware design, it was analysed and elaborate on the MCU, LCD display, print and output, the communication of USB and RS-232, global position system(GPS), GPRS wireless communication, CAN bus, and other functions in the thesis. Considering the complexity of vehicle circuit and the strong interference environment, there are many defensive measures were taken in the designing of power supply and the sampling circuit to prevent the interference. In software development, it adopted the modularized design method, Main program and each function module program are analyzed and demonstrated, the program code was designed by C language.At last, according to the standard of GB/T19056, all the function test and type test were done on the VTDR, the test data show that the recorder can run stably and reliably, the data is truthful and accurate, the precision and anti-interference ability can meet the requirements of standard, and it achieved the design purpose of task.
