The First Tractor Factory was born in the 1950 s,it is one of 156 projects in the first five-year plan period.It is the earliest and the largest tractor factory in China.Its completion means the beginning of the agricultural mechanization in our country.And it has a far-reaching influence to urban planning,urban natural,population composition and life form.The thesis focus on the construction history of the first tractor factory and carry on the research in the background of national macro history.The thesis has analysised the relationship of the development of the factory and the industrial construction and urban planning by analyzing the factory’s early history and then summaried the conclusions.The thesis consists of five chapters.Chapter one defines the time and space of construction and formulates the research content and technical route combined with the domestic and foreign relevant research material.Chapter two introduces the basic situation and construction background.Chapter three introduces the situation of construction by four period,including preparing period,developing period,expanding period and completing period.Chapter four analysis the effects about city construction and life style which have been caused by the construction of first tractor factory.Chapter five compares the first tractor factory with the other projects at the same time in order to discover the construction characteristic of the first tractor factory.The conclusion summarizes the influence on industrial development and urban planning of the first tractor factory’s construction based on the above research in order to establish the historical status of the first tractor factory in the urban planning of Luoyang.
