Public bicycle is convenient and environment-friendly, it is rapidly gaining popularity in various cities. Meanwhile, people’s expectations of it is also continuously increasing, they hope the system to be more perfect, software and hardware interaction more fluent. They want to get better service experience. Starting from the perspective of service design, this paper focuses on the overall study of public bicycle service system, put forward new service model, and improve the design of some key contacts in the system.This paper summarizes the structure and operation of public bicycle service system first, and then analyses typical mobile client interface which corresponds to the current service system. This paper also set the usability experiment to find out the problems existing in the service system. In the experiment, the participants complete specified tasks in the use of the real environment, the operation process is recorded, then the operation time, error rate in the task, user feedback evaluation are analyzed. On the purpose of solving the existing problems and improving system availability, the paper draws ecological diagram and service blueprint for public bicycle service, and generates new service model through the analysis and combination of the different parts of ecological diagram. On this basis, this paper analyses target users and status, creates user roles, sets service scene, and complete the design of the service prototype. At last, the paper redefines and redesigns the function of the public bicycle system mobile terminal APP, conducts a series of improvement on the parking spot lock, inquiry terminal, vehicles and other related hardware terminal. According to the experiment on mobile client high-fidelity model through the way of simulation using, questionnaire and interview, the modified service prototype and related interface design promotes the usability of the product in some degree.The use of service design methods in this paper, especially the drawing and analysis of ecological diagram and service blueprint, provides a new model for the design of public bicycle service system. At the same time, it has a guiding role in practice on the design of its hardware and software interface, it can also provide a reference for the development of other service products.
