| With China’s accession to the WTO and the continuous reforming and opening policy,Economic globalization, the trend of economic development in the world today, will bring more and more profound impact on China’s economy. In order to boost the national competitiveness and keep pace with economic development, China issued National Expressway Network Plan in 2013. Under such circumstance, the surge engineering construction demands made the project construction efficiency more significant than ever.Effective control of the project progress is one of the vital factor of enterprise’s success, and the key indicator of enterprise’s core competitive power as well.Engineering Project Management is directly relevant to project cost, quality, and progress. The management of above three are opposed and united. Whether the engineering project progress is under effective control or not has direct influence to project quality and cost. To form a practical and effective progress management method, engineering project progress management shall take into comprehensive consideration the various influencing factors including cost, quality, and progress. Reducing waste of resources and cost savings through schedule optimization method during progress management, and thus maximize the enterprise revenue.In this paper, the author presents an overview of engineering project management and its related theories, and discuss in detail on the significance of construction engineering project management. On the basis of this, and complying with the practical case of project schedule management of N Civil Engineering Construction Project in A Company, the improved methods are proposed after analysis of project progress management loopholes in A company.Through combination with engineering practice, this paper analyzes the method and effect of progress control, and finally provides an effective and suitable management system for A company’s reference. |
